DACA Kids Can Now Use FHA to Buy A New Home

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) was created in 2012 by President Obama to protect eligible immigrant youth, who came to the United States when they were children, from deportation.

DACA gives young undocumented immigrants:
1) protection from deportation, and
2) a work permit, renewable every two years.

HUD said DACA recipients who are legally permitted to work in the U.S. are eligible to apply for mortgages backed by the FHA.
